An easier way to design nice looking templates, etc.
I would like to see Expman provide us the ability to easily design nice looking templates to match our photo sites, without having to know HTML code, etc. I know that other photo sites such as shutter bug, etc make it much easier to have nice templates that integrate with their home photo sites.

We’ve been working on this for quite some time. For a variety of reasons this has taken longer than we would like but this is our main priority in 2010.

preview crop feature
I am dying for a preview crop feature, like Costco photo center has. Customers should be able to see the crop of their specified print size before buying. Many of us shoot large events or weddings where different people will want different print sizes. There is not enough hours in the day to handle each and every order on a display only basis.

Plug-in for Adobe Lightroom
I recently migrated from Express Digital's Darkroom Pro and PhotoReflect. The one area where they have a big advantage is on the workflow integration. There is a lot that can be done as-is with Lightroom to ease the workflow, but a plug-in to automate things would be great. I currently mimic my gallery structure in Lightroom which helps. But when I get an order, I have to manually collect the images in the order. Option to sell photo calendars
Customers could pick twelve photos plus a cover shot to create their own custom photo calendar.

Import keywords that have been embedded in photos
A lot of people spend a good amount of time adding keywords to their photos in applications such as Lightroom, etc. But when we upload them to the site, the keywords are gone and we have to re-enter them, which can be very time consuming.

Improve reporting
I would like to see better reports. What we have right now aren't bad, but there are a lot of gaps.
For example, there is no way to see who ordered from a given gallery. For example, I can get a download of all my customers with their contact info. I can also get a download of the transaction details. But there is no report that says what a customer ordered, or from what gallery. I can't even join the data in Excel because there is no key between them (order number, for example).

HTML pages
Make it easier for EM'ers to create text pages. Right now we have to use the gallery templates if we want to create text (such as a links page or a bio.)

Add to existing order
I would like to be able to add prints to an existing customer order at my cost. There are many reasons to do this but one example would be when someone places a large order and you would like to give them a bonus print.

Black & White / Sepia Tones
Several order fulfillment sites allow the customer to order B&W and Sepia tones images. This eases the burden of the photog from having to convert each photo individually.

What would help is when processing uploadedis to have it in a tree view that is collapsible.

Have a verification step on uploading images for order
If you do Display Only, you currently get an email that tells you which images you need to upload for printing. Once you upload them, there is no way to verify that the correct images were uploaded before they go to print. It would be great if after you uploaded the images, that EM showed you a page with the original thumbnail, along side a thumbnail of the new image that was uploaded... and also showed both file names side by side. Then there should be a confirmation button to accept the changes. Otherwise there is no way you'd know… more

Baseball templates for magazines and trading cards
I was thrilled with the addition of these products but they are virtually worthless to me without having baseball templates. This seems like a simple addition that fills an obvious hole.

Customize Text in Automated Customer Emails
I would like the ability to add custom text in both the Order Confirmation and the Order Shipped emails that the customer receives. I want both emails to have more of a personal touch.
Plus, currently in both emails, there should be a period after "Thank you for your order" instead of a comma.

offer a wider range of clothing
I would really love to see a wider range of clothing offered. At the very least, it would be nice to offer black T-shirts as well as white. It would be better still to offer baseball tees, babydoll tees, and hoodies.

Add a Fathead type wall sticker product
I've seen a few companies offer Fathead style wall stickers. Among other things, this would be a great sports product. See link to get an idea of what I'm talking about. http://www.fathead.com/

Can you tell me which companies are offering Fathead ‘style’ stickers? It doesn’t seem that Fathead offers an option for one-off photo orders, and I have not found this service offered elsewhere. Do like the idea though.
